The Enemy.

Bitterness is the enemy of love because it makes you unforgiving and unwilling to give love unconditionally.

It is the enemy of hope because you keep living in the past and become incapable of seeing a better future.

It is the enemy of faith because you stop trusting in anyone but yourself.

If we are not careful, we will lose the ability to see such things as beauty, truth, or even affection.

You may close your eyes to what your soul needs you most to see
.

Good word, Anna. You are right on with this. Bitterness is a tool of satan and loves it when God's people become bitter and angry.....

I thoroughly agree with you Miss Anna. Your a princess of a person and your grand-dad loves you dearly. One thing I know about Bitterness is that it is the end result of allowing ones self to regard another or even something, as being resented in a harsh way. That feeling has to come from one's heart (Prov.4:23) and because of Jeremiah 17:9-10 it then becomes bitterness. Bitterness is a process and is sometimes never recognized for what it is.
